Tam on Emsella chair

Say yes to a strong pelvic floor!

What is Emsella?

Emsella is a revolutionary new option for pelvic floor-strengthening. It is a chair device that you sit on, fully clothed, while high-intensity focused electromagnetic technology (HIFEM), which is similar to an MRI, creates strong but pain-free pelvic floor contractions. Emsella is referred to as the “kegel throne” because it creates 11,000 pelvic floor contractions in just 28 minutes.

What are the benefits of a strong pelvic floor?

A strong pelvic floor is very important for daily living. Aging, pregnancy, childbirth, and weight gain can all lead to a damaged and weakened pelvic floor, resulting in urinary incontinence. Stress incontinence is the loss of urine with movement and urge incontinence is the sudden involuntary loss of urine accompanied by a strong urge to urinate. Mixed incontinence refers to symptoms of both stress and urge incontinence and is the most common type of incontinence. Pelvic floor strengthening is always the first step in addressing urinary incontinence. A strong pelvic floor can reduce or eliminate the need for costly pads, medications or surgery.

What about my sex life?

A strong pelvic floor is very important for experiencing confidence and pleasure during intimacy. A better pelvic floor equals better intimacy. Emsella pelvic floor strengthening treatments can also be combined with Vitalia vaginal tightening treatments for the ultimate upgrade in your intimacy experience.

How many Emsella treatments will I need?

We offer a series of eight treatments; two per week for three weeks, then once a month for two months. The treatments are completely non-invasive, and require no preparation and no downtime. After eight treatments you will be re-evaluated by Dr. Tkatch to determine if more treatments are necessary.

Once your pelvic floor is stronger, we recommend two maintenance treatments spaced two to four days apart, every three months. You will receive special discounted pricing on your maintenance treatments.

Can I achieve similar results on my own, without Emsella treatments?

Unless you can correctly perform thousands of kegel pelvic floor exercises (spoiler alert: nobody can!), you cannot obtain the same level of pelvic floor strengthening with at-home exercises or even pelvic floor physiotherapy. Emsella is the only technology that can achieve this.

Is Emsella FDA- and Health Canada-approved?

Yes, Emsella has been approved for safety and its efficacy in pelvic floor strengthening and treatment of urinary incontinence by Health Canada and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Is Emsella treatment for women only?

Absolutely not! Men’s pelvic floors weaken with aging and health changes in the same way as women, leading to concerns of erectile dysfunction and bladder emptying issues. In particular, a strong pelvic floor is very important if a male is undergoing treatment for prostate cancer. Emsella pelvic floor strengthening treatments are an excellent way for men to prepare for and rehabilitate after prostate surgery.
