You may be nervous about having a skin health consultation, but as soon as you meet Dr. Shelin Tkatch and staff, you will start to feel at ease. Your visit will begin with a consultation with Dr. Tkatch to assess your individual aesthetic and skin health goals. We will review your current skin care routine and offer recommendations on how to optimize your skin health. The staff will provide a demonstration of the recommended skin care products so that you can experience them for yourself and ask us questions. We will take professional clinical photographs of you so we can document and follow your skin improvement. Dr. Tkatch will then review all the treatment options available for your skin concern and show you examples of her treatment outcomes for clients with similar goals. No two people are alike, which is why Dr. Tkatch will customize a comprehensive treatment plan that is just for you.

Why do we charge a consultation fee?

Your $150 consultation fee reserves you an hour of Dr. Tkatch’s time devoted to your individual concerns, formulation of a goal-specific treatment plan, medical photos to document your baseline appearance and hands-on teaching of proper skin care techniques and products. Your consult fee will be applied to any skin care products or services you choose. Think of it as a great investment in yourself!

Referrals

Cosmetic and skincare services don’t require a referral. You can contact us directly to book your consultation.

If you are interested in vaginal or pelvic floor health, including MonaLisa TouchVitalia, or Emsella, we recommend asking your family doctor for a referral to Dr. Tkatch for a gynecology consultation.  Dr. Tkatch will discuss all appropriate treatment options with you, including those covered by the Medical Services Plan (MSP). If you don’t have a family doctor, virtual care services like TELUS MyCare are covered by MSP and can refer you to Dr. Tkatch.

Your appointment

Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time to allow time to check-in with our office staff and complete any forms. Please bring your B.C. Services Card to your appointment — it has your Personal Health Number on the back, which will be necessary information to include on any prescriptions Dr. Tkatch writes for you or if skin biopsies are taken.

Missed appointments delay care for everyone.  Fees may apply to late cancellations and missed appointments.
