You may be nervous about having a body or skin health consultation. As soon as you meet Dr. Shelin Tkatch and her staff, you will start to feel at ease. Your visit will begin with a consultation to assess your aesthetic and skin health goals. We will review your current self care routine and offer recommendations on how to optimize your body and skin health. The staff will provide a demonstration of skin care products so that you can experience them for yourself and ask us questions. We will take professional clinical photographs of you so we can document and follow your improvement. Dr. Tkatch will then review all the treatment options available for your skin concerns and show you examples of her treatment outcomes for clients with similar goals. No two people are alike, which is why Dr. Tkatch will customize a comprehensive treatment plan that is just for you.
Why do we charge a consultation fee?
Your $150 consultation fee reserves you an hour of time with either Dr. Tkatch or one of our Aesthetic Nurse specialists. You will receive the following:
- A comprehensive evaluation of your concerns
- A goal specific treatment plan
- Clinical photos to document your baseline appearance
- Hands on teaching of proper skin care techniques and products
Your consult fee will be applied to any skin care products or services you choose. Think of it as a great investment in yourself!
Referrals
Cosmetic, body care and skincare services don’t require a referral. You can contact us directly to book your consultation.
If you are interested in hormonal health, or vaginal/pelvic floor health, including MonaLisa Touch, Vitalia, or Emsella, ask your family doctor for a referral to Dr. Tkatch for a gynecology consultation. Dr. Tkatch will discuss all appropriate treatment options with you, including those covered by the Medical Services Plan (MSP). If you don’t have a family doctor, virtual care services like TELUS MyCare can refer you to Dr. Tkatch.
Your appointment
Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your appointment time. Arriving early will allow time to check-in with our office staff and complete any forms. Please bring your B.C. Services Card to your appointment — it has your Personal Health Number (PHN) on the back. Your PHN is required on any prescriptions Dr. Tkatch writes for you.
Missed appointments delay care for everyone. Fees may apply to late cancellations and missed appointments.
